Re: Caption this photo
Post #2According to the left leaning news media, the message that it sends is that President Trump is willing to use force against peaceful protestors so that he can get a photo op. But here is the other side:
White House News conference...
The highlights...
- Objects were being thrown at the police by some of the protestors.
- The protestors were told to move back and did not comply.
- Therefore, as an act of protection and to enforce orders to push back the perimeter, the national guard and other security personnel acted on the protestors with force.
My personal take is that it's possible that Trump wanted a photo op. But according to actual White House officials, the decision to use force against protestors was not because of Trump's photo op. Even if it played a role it certainly was not the ONLY reason.. To say that that a photo op was the ONLY reason is the liberal media spin on things.

Re: Caption this photo
Post #3.
One may not get this simply by viewing the photo, but if one is familiar with the context in which it was taken, the caption I'd suggest is, "Might makes right and there is no greater might than to claim God is on your side."
Remove the context and in a few years some might suggest, "See, I told you Trump was a Christian!"

To be clear: Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.

Post #6My best guess is that it is meant to convey that Trump is a man of faith.historia wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 9:16 amBefore we get into any of that: What do you think the photo itself is intended to convey?AgnosticBoy wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 3:33 pm

Post #7What's going on in the photo?
The same thing that happened here:
Just like Hitler and in Shakespeare's Richard II where the lead character fraternizes with Bishop Carlisle and uses the church's support to usurp and maintain the Throne of England. Any such usage constitutes taking the Lord's name in vain. Well, no surprise given that Trump called himself the "Chosen". Those who have read the Bible know only the Antichrist would call himself that.

I'm waiting for anyone to provide logic and evidence, the type that would go against what I've already presented, that would show that Trump cleared out the protestors just to set up a photo op. I'm willing to entertain the idea that it may've played a role at some point, but to say it was the ONLY reason like CNN and other left-wing media are trying to suggest, is misleading.
