Should Roe v. Wade be overturned?

Post by historia »

More precisely: Should the current Supreme Court precedent on abortion -- first established by Roe v. Wade, but later modified by Planned Parenthood v. Casey -- be overturned?

My question here is not so much whether abortion should be legal or not, since overturning Roe would not, in itself, make abortion illegal, with several states having laws that explicitly allow for abortions.

What's a Marty Stewart, and what does (s)he have to do with saving brood mares?

What about a woman's right to her bodily autonomy?

I like Marty Stewart.
Edit in: Took me a spell to relate "Stewart" to "Stuart". Yeah, love his work.

You have nothing but justify killing unborn babies.

I don't kill unborn babies. Never have, never will.

But I do respect a woman's right to control her body, and specifically trying to butt in on their personal medical decisions.

Especially in the name of a god not anyone can show exists to even have an opinion on the matter. Though I note the Bible mentions reasons to, and methods of abortion.

Let's take at look at the scripture you hold in such high regard:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?s ... ersion=NIV
Hosea 13:16
New International Version
16 The people of Samaria must bear their guilt,
because they have rebelled against their God.
They will fall by the sword;
their little ones will be dashed to the ground,
their pregnant women ripped open.”
So, it seems God doesn't mind killing unborn children at times when He sees fit. Good thing most of us don't follow that kind of leadership.

If you actually studied scripture without your biases you would understand why God condemned them all. You do understand the children spoken of in the scripture you quoted were already born right?
