Deep sea creatures are ugly, creepy, and in some cases, downright evil looking...
Did God create the deep sea creatures? Or did the devil genetically engineer them from creatures God already made?

Deep sea creatures
Post #1If it turns out there are one or more gods, then so be it.
If it turns out there are no gods, then thank reality that no one is going to suffer forever.

I think deep sea creatures are pretty cool... albeit a bit scary with the jaws and the luring in of the unsuspecting with light so that they can gobble up said prey, lol. I don't think it matters what they look like though. They have simply adapted to be able to survive in their environment.
The 'devil' is the one who puts stock in the exterior (appearance of) beauty - at least he put stock in his own; enough that he took his eyes off the one(s) he was supposed to serve and to protect, and placed his eyes instead upon himself, thinking he deserved what belonged to another because of his appearance. So we might want to keep in mind that evil does not mean ugly (on the outside). We might want to refrain from equating ugly or scary looking... with evil. Because there is no truth in that.
(Not that the Adversary did not play a role in subjecting this world to sin and death... but genetically engineer creatures simply because their appearance is distasteful to us? No.)
Peace to you!

Since we have no evidence that any of the tens of thousands of gods that humans have concocted exist now, or ever have existed, and the same can be said for devils, my vote would be that they were genetically engineered from creatures that existed prior to the creatures we have today ... without any involvement by gods or devils of any kind.
