What is the evidence that physics have been/are different?
Post #1As far as I am aware the physics in our universe are consistent. Is there evidence that other parts of the universe after the Big Bang have different physics?

Atheism is the lack of belief in gods. The prime reason is that theism is completely unsupported by verifiable evidence for the existence of gods, further enhanced by the requirement of faith in theism. The more that science discovers about the world we live in, the further gods of all description recede into the background....not to mention that Atheism with all its hues and forms are not supported by science.

Wrong. Not believing in gods does not necessarily lead to emptiness. There is far too much that is rich and real to fill our lives. No need to clog things up paying homage to imaginary beings or wasting time on futile incantations into the air.We the believers understand that it may be an attempt of Atheism people to hide behind science to conceal emptiness of its own world-view. Right, please?

Atheism is the lack of belief in gods, and lacking is like emptiness. The prime reason is that Atheism is completely unsupported by verifiable evidence of its own as an ideology and due to its own faults they don't believe in the existence of One-True-God/YHVH/Allah, nevertheless they have faith in Atheism. Belief in God or No-God is beyond the limits of science which is a tool limited in the physical and material domains. Whatever the science discovers is never created by it, it only discovers that had already been created by One-True-God/YHVH/Allah.God is Great.brunumb wrote: [Replying to post 16 by paarsurrey1]

A cup that lacks space for more water is full, the very opposite of empty.paarsurrey1 wrote: Atheism is the lack of belief in gods, and lacking is like emptiness.
No faith is required for atheism. The prime reason is that Atheism is completely unsupported by verifiable evidence of its own as an ideology and due to its own faults they don't believe in the existence of One-True-God/YHVH/Allah, nevertheless they have faith in Atheism.

You're making it far more complicated than it is (to hold an atheist view). Atheism doesn't need verifiable evidence to support it because it is the lack of belief in gods. The fact that there is no physical or other evidence for any of the thousands of gods that humans have invented over the millennia, is sufficient indication that they most likely do not exist.
Evidence for their existence would most certainly change a lot of atheist minds, but it is the lack of such evidence that supports atheism. So you can look at it very simply in that way ... it is the lack of evidence for gods of any type that is the evidence supporting atheism.
The prime reason is that Atheism is completely unsupported by verifiable evidence of its own as an ideology ...

Yes, I know this is one of the rhetorics of the people who have faith in Atheism. In other words, they don't have any verifiable evidence of Atheism they ask from the believers.Atheism doesn't need verifiable evidence to support it because it is the lack of belief in gods.
Is it the first dogma of Atheism, please?
The next, please.

There is no rhetorics, it's just the logical necessity of any default-position / negative position.paarsurrey1 wrote: Yes, I know this is one of the rhetorics of the people who have faith in Atheism.
No, there are no dogma of atheism at all.In other words, they don't have any verifiable evidence of Atheism they ask from the believers.

But there is a very big difference! Believers are making a claim for the existence of a god of some sort, which is usually a supernatural being with power to create universes, grant afterlives to their followers, and all kinds of other impressive things. Atheists are not making any such claims.
There cannot be evidence that something does not exist. But there can be rational conclusions drawn from observations that the likelihood of the existence of something is extremely low ... low enough to justify believing that it does not actually exist.
That is the case with atheists (at least this one). Gods aren't needed to explain anything in nature, there's no evidence that humans have afterlives, or that prayers are heard and answered, etc. So there is no need for evidence to support atheism ... it follows naturally from the lack of evidence for any gods or their actions. It is believers who are making the extraordinary claims, so it is reasonable to ask for some evidence.

You clearly do not understand atheism. Atheism is not a belief that no Gods exists. Atheism is simply the position that there is no evidence to back up any of the countless God mythologies that mankind has invented.
You are also wrong in suggesting that there exists some sort of dichotomy between either being an atheist versus believing in One-Specific-God/YHVH/Allah. Islam and Christianity are both provably false man-made myths. So those religions aren't even in the running for describing any potential God anyway. Those religions are political hate-cults that have designed ignorant jealous God characters such as YHVH and Allah who will supposedly condemn anyone who doesn't join and support a specific hate cult.
If there is a magical essence to the universe it's far more likely to be as described by Buddhism. So if you have a desire to seek out the "One-True-God", then do yourself a favor and look into Buddhism. The religion you are currently worshiping is provably false.
In fact, how were you ever convinced that a jealous God who will hate you if you don't believe in him could be real?
You would be hard-pressed to find a religion that could be more obviously false.
I'm an atheist - simply meaning that I don't believe in any Gods.
However, I'm also agnostic - meaning that I haven't ruled out the possibility that a God might actually exist. Just because I don't believe in any Gods doesn't mean a God cannot exist. Right?
However, this much I can know for certain: If a God exists and it's benevolent, loving, and trustworthy, then I have absolutely nothing to fear from such a God. In fact, such a God would be totally in harmony with my own character and desires. Therefore if such a God exists I am definitely in harmony with God. No need to actually believe in this God if it exists.
But the God you keep defending and supporting is a hateful mean and cruel God. A God that no one could trust. If a person simply doesn't believe in your hateful God they will be condemned. That's clearly not a loving benevolent God.
So if the religion you support were true, then "God" would be a demonic untrustworthy monster undeserving of anyone's love or respect.
So clearly the religion you worship cannot have anything thing to do with any God, unless God is a hateful untrustworthy demon. And if that's the case then we are all in far worse shape than if there was no God at all.
So as an agnostic atheist I have a far brighter worldview than you do apparently.
You have been convinced that a very specific hateful jealous God exists. So much so that you actually defend that malicious theology.
And let's supposed that there is no God at all. If that is in fact the truth, then you are the one who is "hiding" from the truth by worshiping an immoral hateful religion just to avoid accepting the possibility that there may not be any life beyond this one.
For me it doesn't matter one way or the other because I don't fear truth.
If we just cease to exist when we die, then so be it. If that's the way it is pretending otherwise is foolish.
If there exists a truly benevolent loving God, then it doesn't matter what I believe. Right please?
The only way it could possibly matter what I believe is if a hateful demonic God exists who would be mean and cruel to me for not believing in him. Right, please?
But if a hateful demonic God who is mean and cruel to people for no good reason exists, then we are all doomed. That would be far worse than no God at all. Right, please?
If you can't see the fallacy of Islam by now I just can't imagine what more could be said.
If you like the idea of a loving God I suggest moving over to Buddhism. Whether Buddhism is true or not is irrelevant. Because at least it has the right idea of what a decent God should be like. The religion you currently worship has a hateful demonic God that isn't worthy of your time.
Hope this helps.
