Sorry, of course they were, whether they existed or not.
Mankind is an ape, and therefore descended from apes.
We find yet another of the classic, this time modern clashes is simply another lie perpetrated on both Judeo-Christians and non-mythogists alike.
Were Adam and Eve apes?

Hey 101G, when you see a collection of hominid skulls like this:
http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/comdesc/hominids.html
Tell me your thought process. Compare a chimpanzee skull in the top left, with it's reduced cranium and forward-swept maxilla, to the Australopithecus skull next to it which is incredibly similar in form. Note how it very clearly transitions to the modern homo sapiens at the bottom right.
Ok now tell me what you are thinking. Are you just immediately like "well these are fake images" or are you more like "well this sure looks like it transitions from a primitive ape-like creature into modern man but I don't really care because the bible is true"? I mean do you look at stuff like this analytically and actually CONSIDER that they might provide insight? Or do you just dismiss it immediately because you don't really care and you're just here to preach? Or maybe it's something else. Let me know.
