The Effect of Sound and The Universe

Can silence actually drive someone crazy??

If anything, sound is more likely to drive one crazy, than silence.

A personality will use their brains to fill the silence with the sound of their inner voice and these sounds can translate to pictures [visions aka hallucinations] on the mind screen.

If silence could make someone crazy, how is it that this does not occur to deaf people?

Perhaps there is other stimuli [visual] which the personality can focus on.

Observation:

In the above video, the Silence Room is also made completely dark.

The only sound made is whatever the persons body produces. Non-sound still heard by the personality as sound, is accomplished through the internal voice of [which is largely of] the personality [subject] itself.

Deaf people might experience that inner voice more through the visual aspect of the 'inner voice' re "a picture paints a thousand words" and words being 'sounds'.
Blind people, the other way around.

Just as blind folk can feel objects which in turn gives them "pictures" of the object in their mind, perhaps deaf people can 'hear' through the vibrations that things produce, and create "sounds" in their minds through that process?

We can see that sound produces order from chaos.

The Evidence:

Sample One:

Sample Two:

A Theist Claim:

"We exist within a Creation and The Creator used Sound to create and maintain the Universe."

The Evidence:

Sample One:

"And God said, Let there be light: and there was light." ~ Genesis 1:3

Sample Two:

Conclusion:
FOR DEBATE:

Q: Does Sound Create The Universe.

The Krakatoa volcanic explosion in 1883 not only wreaked havoc on the island, but it also produced the loudest sound ever recorded at 180 decibels https://asianfriendly.com/blog/.

Such pesky details aside, it is indeed possible for scientists to simulate the sounds of space by translating radio emissions and other signals into sound waves. The sounds they create can be jarring, eerie, and often strikingly beautiful.

In space, nobody can hear you scream, but with the right equipment, it is possible to detect a roar. That's what scientists discovered back in 2006 when they began to look for distant signals in the universe using a complex instrument fixed to a huge balloon that was sent to space. The instrument was able to pick up radio waves from the heat of distant stars, but what came through that year was nothing short of astounding. [read more]

What is cymatics?
Cymatics is the science of sound made visible. It is based on the principle that when sound encounters a membrane such as your skin or the surface of water, it imprints an invisible pattern of energy. In other words, the periodic vibrations in the sound sample are converted and become periodic water ripples, creating beautiful geometric patterns that reveal the once hidden realm of sound. If we could see the sounds around us with our eyes we would see myriads of holographic bubbles, each with a kaleidoscopic-like pattern its surface. The CymaScope, in a sense, allows us to image a circular section through a holographic sound bubble. Developed by John Stuart Reid in the UK, the CymaScope reveals the once hidden realm of sound. The CymaScope, like the invention of the microscope and telescope, opens a realm not previously suspected to exist; a whole new world of visible sound.

Cool I guess, but to what purpose? To be truthful, the "science" here seems to be just noodlin' around with sound. Like looking through a kaleidoscope, "Hey, that's neat. . . . . Pass the butter please."

Are you saying that science is not always useful re 'purpose'? Or that this particular science is nothing more than 'mirrors' or that telescopes and microscopes provide scientists with purpose?

What science are you talking about? So far I haven't see any sign of their noodling being scientific: i.e. employing the scientific method, which would be necessary to raise their interest above just that: an interest.

FYI. The scientific method diagrammed

I linked the source - you can check out the details of the science for yourself.

The only links I saw were to a YouTube video on the anechoic chamber in Minneapolis, two YouTube videos of people playing around with sound, a YouTube video about the trillion of galaxies in the universe, and a YouTube video on "The beauty of twelve piano notes made visible on CymaScope," none of which amounted to "doing science." Now if you truly believe these, in any way, depict the use of the scientific method in practicing "the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment."* you are sadly mistaken. So it's with honest goodwill that I suggest you make yourself aware of what constitutes actual science before making any more such claims for your pet interest here.

*definition of "science" from Oxford Languages.
