Several recent moderator comments have prompted this question. No need to point to specific ones, the question is generic.
It was my understanding that the need to state a specific debate question to start a thread applied the the Debate forums and that other forums were for discussion in accordance with whatever rules may apply to the specific sub-forum. Yet recently there have been moderator comments about not having specific debate questions in threads outside of the Debate group.
I have looked at the various rules and it is not clear what rules apply only to the Debate sub-forums and not necessarily elsewhere. Some are obvious of course such as no personal attacks and the like. And of course Random Ramblings is exactly what it says.
Clarification would be much appreciated. Thank you.
