Limiting Data Usage / "Lo Fi Version"

Post by Danmark »

I need advice. If this is the wrong subforum for this topic, please move it.

Confessing my obliviousness, I once wondered why anyone would use the 'Lo Fi Version' of the Forum. Now that I'm on the road and my data usage is limited, I think I finally 'get it.' I assume the 'Full Version' is a data hog.

If anyone has other tips or website suggestions for using less data, besides not posting or visiting this site :( , please share.

That's one reason for lo-fi. Another reason is that Google really likes the lo-fi pages. I guess they are faster to index.

How do I avoid getting emails sent to me every time someone posts? I've turned off 'notifications' and 'watching.' Is this an artifact from my moderator days?
