Banner suggestions

I took some images that are free to reproduce and resized/cropped them to the size of the current banner (1170x240). Unsplash suggests giving credit to the photographer, but it's not a requirement.

This next one is my favorite, but I promise I won't get my hopes up:

The image is distorted. Can you recrop and maintain same appearance as original?

I'm not sure if this works. To me it doesn't look distorted but my brother is always telling me that my images are distorted when I mess around with them. The image I used before was darker, and it didn't look distorted to me. Maybe someone who is better at image manipulation could find the original and do it better than me. I wasn't sure if it was appropriate for a forum as well, but I like the original artwork.

How's this? I found the original in the Wikimedia Commons.
Looks good to me. Maybe I was trying to get too much of the image in the banner.
