Any information on civility?

Post by AgnosticBoy »

I remembered otseng asked members to write an essay on civility.

I was wondering if you posted that essay somewhere. I think it would be beneficial so that people can see the purpose or benefits of civility (i assume the essay gets into that).

I've been a member of several forums where civility is not emphasized, and many convos devolve into insults and taking sides. I always wondered how people could be motivated to have a decent or good debate if there's just mud slinging?!

We had an essay contest 10 years ago. But, those essays have been archived so they are no longer publicly available.

My idea is 10 years too late then. Thanks for explaining.
