Password resetting

Post by Cephus »

It's not quite a registration problem, but close enough, I guess. This seems to be the most logical place to put this, at least.

Lately, perhaps once a week, I've been getting the message that my password has expired and I need to request another one. This hasn't happened before, so I'm assuming it's a glitch. I can request a new password and get back in, but it's a royal pain to have to go through this on a regular basis.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Click on the "Login" link. Then click on the "I forgot my password" link.

Does not work. Trying to Log In does not present a "Change Password" option. It just gives chance to get yet another gobbledeegook password I'll still be unable to change. HOW CAN THIS MOST OBVIOUS OF NEEDS BE OPAQUE?

Changing the password is under the "Registering" tab in your profile.

Thank you kindly. Yes, "Registration" is the place.
However, your post and the email say to go to "Profile" to find the Password change. It is NOT in "Profile", but as you say it is in "Registration". Still very hard to find while trying to change password as instructed after receiving the email when we forget our password! Here's the message I received:
You can of course change this password yourself via the profile page. If you have any difficulties please contact the board administrator.

OK, I modified the email and also included a direct link to change the password.
