Believing when you don't know any better is honest delusion, in my view.

But when you dilute and distort and disguise and discard Christian beliefs - like the Virgin Birth and the Global Flood and Eve and the Talking Serpent and Jesus returning to this planet with armies of angels to exterminate non-Christians, and other such long-held dogmas that aren't selling too well anymore - and you continue to proclaim the biblical writings as the Word of God, you are lying for Jesus.

I have always felt this kind of stuff to be myth; stories made up to convey deeper truths. So, it doesn't get in the way of my faith, whatsoever.

Not so long ago it was ALL real to Christians.

Now, like quasi-Atheists, many quasi-Christians recognise much of the stuff as myth ... and political propaganda.

And who he will turn against whom.

And how the Jesus character has been distorted by Christians.
