What is real ? In the 12th century realism was the ancient doctrine of Plato. The universal is real, the general idea denoting a class. Man is more real than Socrates. What do you think is more real the universal Man or the individual man?

Next question , is our mind the same thing as our brain ? Or is it something not created by brain functions? For example when we see a rose, our sensory perception is a brain function. We see it , we smell it, we feel it , these are sensory perceptions we process with our brain. These will be the same for everyone with two good eyes. However our aesthetic appreciation will be different , more or less color smell feeling .
Which is more real our sensory perception or our aesthetic appreciation? These are both real . One is objective and the other is subjective. Which is more real ? Our total experience objective and subjective is more real than a solely objective one . The objective perception alone has no life, no subjective individual appreciation. Perhaps I should ask instead of ,which is more real, which is more valuable?
