The devil said, "Mercy is for the weak."

God replied, "Mercy is for the weak."

2 ways to live.

So do I. It speaks to me of heaven and hell.

The riches of heaven are not gold, and silver, and jewels, or even $ bills, but those things that are truly valuable; Goodness, Righteousness, Justice, Kindness, Truth etc.

Love is for the weak, in Hell. Love is for the weak, in Heaven.

Best wishes, 2RM.

Curious that the devil and God sing the same song.

Is it the case that some subtlety of grammar is all that divides the devil and the Almighty?

You don't have to be very wrong, to be completely wrong.

For those who don't get it, yet, Love is by the weak, in Hell. Love is to the weak, in Heaven.

Best wishes, 2RM.

Given that you provided no references for either claim, I did a google search.

It returned a quote from "The Karate Kid".

I wasn't aware that God was a movie star.

The things I learn on this forum are astounding.

I think that the heart can wander very easily from the narrow path. We can think we are doing good but are doing evil. This reminds me of my inversion thread.

The difference is in their intent. The devil wants to do nothing but harm to you. God wants to do nothing but bless you. Given that we have free will, we get to choose between the two. For those who say they choose neither, they need to know that to reject God is to automatically land with the devil whether they like it or not.

According to what I have read, the god wants to destroy me with fire.

Given that we have free will, we get to choose between the two. For those who say they choose neither, they need to know that to reject God is to automatically land with the devil whether they like it or not.
If we land with the devil whether we like it or not, then we don't have free will as you claimed.

I don't want to land with either the devil or his partner. If I am not allowed to make that choice, then I don't have free will.

More to the point of the OP, I can't find any evidence that either the devil or the god made the statement attributed to each of them.

I suppose this is one bit of evidence of free will. Apparently we are allowed to create our own scripture.

Given this, mine will include a reality were neither of these mythological beasts exist. You know, just like the one we live in now.

Which form of 'weak' are you specifically?
(Don't feel obligated to answer if this is uncomfortable obviously).

I understand the self loathing that comes with believing your are born a sinner deserving eternal torture, but must a person also be 'weak' according to this theology?

Also, is it a physical weakness or a mental weakness being addressed?
