Are we alive within ourselves?

Are we alive within ourselves?
---

Your brain is a diary of your life on earth.

Are you making a memory now?
Or are you just thinking? (from memory)

Is the mind separate from its physical storage (the brain)?

Are the pockets of the brain organizing our thoughts for 'us' - or are we a very sophisticated biologically engineered computer - (still building).

Are we spiritual beings, or biological beings, or both?

I think a spirit lives within all of us, on a very forever basis but it is the gift of Jesus that allows us to observe its passage.

Live to give , Give to live ( love Jesus )

: I believe a mans spirit is more than just his imagination.

I believe in forever. That's true even without religion.(or man)

: Live to give, give to life, Forgive to live.

I think we are spiritual beings who are, nonetheless, embodied in a very deep and meaningful sense. There seems to be a misconception among some spiritual seekers that the soul or spirit is good while the body is a worthless accretion that should be shed as soon as possible. I at one time fell into this trap. Not anymore. The body is meaningful even if temporary. It is manifesting a finite good, something we should honor and cultivate. Without our body we could not live in the world the way we do, and so we owe something to the body and to Him who gave us this body.

It is deeply ungrateful to wholesale neglect the body, imo.

We are spirits. The body, with its five senses, enables the spirit to engage in physical life. The senses are a physical imitation of consciousness.
