Wisdom is jumping out If the way.

No. Jumping out of the way of a bus is a natural survival reaction.

Knowledge would include being aware that many religions, including Christianity, have made claims of some impending doom brought about by an angry god/gods.

Wisdom would include the conclusion that given that none of these claims have ever proven true, there is no reason to worry about any of them.

To be clear: Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.

I must assume that knowing is better than not knowing, venturing than not venturing; and that magic and illusion, however rich, however alluring, ultimately weaken the human spirit.

Wisdom is applied knowledge. You can have an encyclopedic array of knowledge stashed in your mind, but unless you can apply it, you do not have wisdom. Wisdom is practical, not merely theoretical.

Wisdom also deals with down-to-earth experience; life experience. It has to do with learning first-hand what life is like. That takes time and practice; it doesn't happen in a moment. To someone without wisdom, this doesn't seem real, but it is.

Also, character. Wisdom and virtue go together. Unless you practice being a virtuous person and building up your character, mere knowledge can't help me. You need to be changed, not merely understand information.

There are similarities and differences.

The similarities is that both can be acquired through experience. As for the difference, knowledge is just information acquired through experience or education. Wisdom has to do with good judgement. The latter has to do with the practical use of knowledge.
