Are People Today Essentially Different Than The Ancientd

Yes, humanity will always have enduring characteristics. But, the question being placed here is this:

Are the people living today within Modern times more different than more similar to ancient people?

I suggest we are far removed in our thinking and pursuits than were our ancient forebearers because of the following:

1.) We have immense information about all matters in our daily lives. Therefore, our thinking is enslaved 24/7 by information unlike limited information common to ancient times. Amidst out information we carry, we cannot relax at all. The only information not at our fingertips is that of spirituality, life, and eternity.

2.) Humans today cannot remember, cannot reason, cannot communicate, cannot commit to principles, and cannot love as did the ancients.

3.) We cannot appreciate the natural world and our place in it even as remotely as well.

4.) We understand neither the core perspectives nor the expressed thoughts of ancient writers. Nobody can comprehend the contents of The Bible other than as historical facts or as rote commands from God. Contexts, principles, hermeneutic, precedents, original text grammer, word definitions, personal identities, depths of analogies, and significance of traditions are all merely guessed upon without consensus.

5.) The existence and comprehension of authority is absent today.

6.) Today's Cosmology theories would be a completely inarticulate mystery to the Ancients.

7.) People today are slaves to what they take for granted which Ancients could not even think of. Electrical power at our fingertips, consumer goods in all towns, health care and industrialized pharmacology, rapid high energy transportation, sewage systems, males without beards, easy world travel, refrigeration, disposable goods, massive business corporations, airplanes and rockets, weapons of mass destruction, a world economy and governance.

And, none of the above will revert to the previous states of being. We are at an end point because of:

1.) Looming artificial intelligence threatening our high tech systems.

2.) Covid and its mutations will never leave or improve.

3.) The world economy will implode with few survivors.

4.) The Earth itself is irreversibly heating up, and weather events will only become more deadly.

5.) Ocean rise, land subsistence, depletion of aquafers, loss of glaciation, loss of sea food resources, pollution of rivers, radiation pollution all are happening right now and will accelerate. The chicken flu in most countries now.

6.) Large population displacements with no place to go, rampant homelessness.

7.) Famine, national competition for food.

8.) Very destructive weapons in the hands of fools.

9.) The decline of the human genome.

10.) The huge increase of God's Anger and Judgements.

You do not really think there exist any practical solutions for even one of these problems, do you? Yes? No?
