Matt Stopera from BuzzFeed asked 22 self-identifying creationists at the Bill Nye/Ken Ham debate to write a message/question/note to the other side. Here’s what they wrote. http://www.buzzfeed.com/mjs538/messages ... lutio?bffb
Bill Nye, Are you influencing the minds of children in a positive way?

Many people regard Bill Nye as a positive influence. He has popularized science in a country where scientific ignorance is rampant.
In May 2008, Nye was awarded an honorary doctorate by Johns Hopkins University. In May 2011, he received an Honorary Doctor of Science degree from Willamette University, where he was the keynote speaker for that year's commencement exercises. In addition, Bill Nye also received an honorary Doctor of Pedagogy degree from Lehigh University on May 20, 2013 at the commencement ceremony. Nye received the 2010 Humanist of the Year Award from the American Humanist Association. Wikipedia

Bill Nye here basically = science education, no? Can't we essentially rephrase the question to read, "Is science education beneficial for children?"

I doubt anyone would deny that [except for trolls, of course].

Or, do I detect lurking in the background of this question that you mean to ask whether people think evolution is true or not?

[PS: that's a funny link, btw. What happens when uninformed people are given markers and notepads...? Ignorant questions, that's what.]
