Why does the Quran require the Hadith to explain it?

Why if the holy book is complete and without fault does it need the Hadith to expound it. How if Allah is so perfect why was his message to Muhammed his prophet not delivered correctly.

Response: The Qur'an says itself to follow the example of the Prophet. His example is found in the hadith. So referring to the hadith is correct since the Qur'an has granted to do so. The Qur'an does not need the hadith to expound on it. The hadith only brings more detail about the way of the Prophet but the detail is still not necessary to understand the intended message of the Qur'an.
