I'm thinking about adopting a religion, just to try it out and see what it's like.
At the moment I've narrowed it down to two choices, Hinduism or Buddhism, but I can't decide.
Which one of those two should I choose, and why?
Hinduism or Buddhism?

Post #2Hinduism. It is more fun.

Yeah blue gods are cool. And they have, like, a gazillion arms.

Et je vole,

Comme une plume.''''

The people who came up with the Kama Sutra can't be all bad.

Personally I would go with Buddhism. No God required. Whereas with Hinduism there are thousands of gods. Well I think they are actually incarnates of a handful of "main"gods but still. Plus I think for Hinduism you have to identify with "your" God. Plus who wants to build a shrine in their home? The whole Puja thing would likely be quite a culture shock.

whats wrong with a god? if it isn't controlling everything I, as well as everything else does, I see no harm in it. And the first noble truth? depressing.Skeptic wrote:Personally I would go with Buddhism. No God required.

Buddhism without a doubt. It's peacefull and as earlier stated it requires no god. also the idea of reincarnation is very interresting and it sounds quite reasonable too.
and the Zen teachings are very wise with a little bit of humor too.
so it can't be bad.
Hinduism has a bit too much restrictions.. like not eating beef. I personally could never cope with that

Islam only provocates hate against the west. It's obsessed with converting people and kill non Muslims. It truly is the most agressive religion. also the most out of date religion because you ppl still see women as inferior to men.
now i think of it, Christianity says the same thing but modern christians just ignore it... so atleast muslims are more commited to their holy book.
