Why did Christ become angry and wept on his way to Lazarus’ grave?
Post #1Many people, academics and novices alike, have wondered why Christ had wept when he approached Lazarus’ grave, knowing that he was about to bring him back to life anyway. Even more curious is that he was ‘deeply moved in spirit and troubled’. The word translated as troubled actually means angered. Angered he was indeed – read https://www.riaanbooysen.com/the-miracl ... sus-christ to find out why.

Post #3No. That Jesus ἐτάραξεν ἑαυτόν in John 11:33 may mean that he was confused or gave himself diarrhea, but there's no attestation of "angered" as a meaning.
My pronouns are he, him, and his.
