How to Do Christian Apologetics

Post by Jagella »

The following is a to-do list for apologists that is not meant to be exhaustive:
  • *Start out with what you wish to conclude (the Bible god exists, the Bible is his word, Jesus rose from the dead, etc.) and then look for reasons to believe those conclusions.
*Ignore, explain away or deny any reasons to the contrary.
    *Lie.
*Tell those who don't believe you that they are lying.
*Make claims for Christianity that are difficult or impossible to falsify.
*Tell other believers that everybody believes in the Christian god, and anybody who denies the reality of the Christian god is actually pretending not to believe in the Christian god.
*Assert with no proof that only Christians have objective morality.
*Tell the skeptics that there is something wrong with them and that only Jesus can right that wrong.
*When Christians act immorally deny that they are true Christians.
*Tell people that the world will turn into a hell-hole if they are not Christians.
*Come up with convoluted, difficult to understand arguments based on shaky premises that you say prove the existence of the Bible god.
Question for Debate: Can you come up with other ways to do apologetics?
