Moderator Claim Withdrawal Procedure

Post by otseng »

If your opponent makes a claim multiple times without providing any evidence to support that claim, you can ask a moderator to intervene. If evidence is provided, but you do not deem it sufficient, this procedure does not apply. This only applies if someone does not provide any evidence whatsoever.

To initiate the procedure, PM any moderator with the claim that has been repeatedly made (either post numbers or direct url links). You cannot simply point to the topic. A moderator will review the posts. If no evidence has been provided, the moderator will post a warning that a claim has been made and evidence needs to be brought forth. One week will be given to provide evidence to support the claim.

If no evidence is provided after a week, a moderator can then post that the claim is void and not a part of the debate. If the same claim is made by the original poster without evidence after a moderator withdraws it, the post can be deleted without warning and will be considered a violation of rule 5.
