When I saw the candidate list I thought I had no chance. It was full of big guns I had taken to be old timers, so skilled were they at their craft.

But as it turned out all I can say is....

...world peace...

(It's a movie reference, OK?) :eyebrow:
Sneakers, I love that movie!

Congrats btw!
I had forgotten Sneakers! But that is a good scene.

I was thinking of Miss Congeniality
I just want to say that being chosen as this month's Miss August is
like a compliment I'll remember for as long as I can.
Right now I'm a freshman in my fourth year at UCLA but my goal is
to become a veterinarian cause I love children
“What do you think science is? There is nothing magical about science. It is simply a systematic way for carefully and thoroughly observing nature and using consistent logic to evaluate results. So which part of that exactly do you disagree with? Do you disagree with being thorough? Using careful observation? Being systematic? Or using consistent logic?

In real life, I'm actually nice. Pretty normal. I laugh a lot. Surprisingly gentle. The well intended among you can meet me anytime. PM me if you're in the bay area. I'm moving today to Berkeley. I hear there's liberals over there (way beyond me).
Duuuuuuude, I grew up in Berkeley and live just south of it now. I go back there frequently to visit friends and family. If I get to know you better on here then maybe we'll hang out one of these days.

I'm really into the Berkeley parks: Indian rock, grotto rock, codornices, tilden, rose garden, and grizzly peak for the great views...

and yes, there are liberals there. Although most people identify themselves that way, I think Berkeley is one of the most interesting places for people you can find, many diverse viewpoints. I learned in my college philosophy class that it's named after famous empiricist George Berkeley (or Barkley). I also didn't meet a conservative till I was in high school, they were a bit of a legend to me for the longest time.

For the record, I am a redhead.
Dogmatism and skepticism are both, in a sense, absolute philosophies; one is certain of knowing, the other of not knowing. What philosophy should dissipate is certainty, whether of knowledge or ignorance.

Personally, I'll go on record as loving the idea of meeting you. Thoughtful and kind people are always a delight.
