How to turn on/off email notifications

The forum has several methods of email subscriptions to notify you when a person makes a post.

Topic reply notification

Whenever someone posts in a particular topic, you will be notified. This occurs if you have posted at anytime in the thread.

You can control the default action of subscribing to a thread in your Profile settings under Profile/Your profile/Profile Settings/Notification. Set "Always notify me of replies" to yes or no. If you set it to yes, you will be notified of new posts whenever you post in a thread. You can also override this setting when you make a post by unchecking "Notify me when a reply is posted" above the submit button.

If you want to unsubscribe from a thread, click on "Stop notification of a new reply" at the bottom left hand corner of any page of the thread.

Topic watch

Whenever someone posts in a particular topic, you will be notified. This occurs even if you have not posted at anytime in the thread.

At the bottom left of a topic page, click on "Notify all post replies in topic" to subscribe to it. To unsubscribe, click on "Stop notification of all replies in topic".

Watched topics list

You can mass unsubscribe from the Watched topics list.

Subforum new topic notification

You will be notified whenever a topic is created in the subforum.

To enable notification, click on "Watch this subforum for new topics" at the bottom left hand corner of any page of the subforum.

To disable, click on "Stop watching subforum for new topics".

Subforum all replies notification

You will be notified whenever any post is created in the subforum.

To enable notification, click on "Watch this subforum for all posts" at the bottom left hand corner of any page of the subforum.

To disable, click on "Stop watching subforum for all posts".

Message Digest

Message digest is a daily/weekly summary of forum activity. You can select which subforums to watch and what time to send it out.
