Even if Jesus is mediator between God and man..

Post by Elijah John »

If Jesus is mediator between God and man, should the mediator be worshiped? Should he be Divinized?

Is this what Jesus intended, his own glorification?
My theological positions:

-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.

I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

Can a man (or angel or a dog) be the mediator between God and man?
Proverbs 18:17 The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him.

Yes, a man can, and according to Paul, a man is, in fact, the mediator:
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

Well err yes. How does Jesus as a man pay for sins against God?

Well err yes. He does so by dying on the cross and remaining dead for 2 1/2 days or so.

Yes, but how does a man pay for sins against God?

I've already answered that. By dying on the cross and remaining dead for 2 1/2 days or so.

But a man can't pay for sins against God any more than a perfect dog could pay for the sins against a man.

Your argument then is with the Bible. I'm simply reporting it's claims.

Are you arguing for the sake of arguing? What is your view?

I am reporting the claims the Bible makes. Are you claiming that it is incorrect?
