I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him,
and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.

Re: Who Started That Lie God Will Not Deceive You?
Post #2One of the forms of God's judgment is allowing people to believe falsehood, or even (as in this verse) leading them to believe falsehood. Yet Scripture also consistently affirms the human decision to sin and human responsibility for that decision (note the idolatry [v.7] that preceded this deception, and the just punishment from God [vv.9-10)]. Moreover, Scripture never says that God Himself speaks falsehood; He cannot, as we read in Titus 1:2 and Hebrews 6:18, and it never excuses human beings for speaking or believing falsehood.jimtatertayte wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 10:26 am Ezekiel 14:9

God is not a deceiver in any way; He sins not. He does work the deception perpetrated by others -- and that of the Deceiver himself, Satan -- as well as all things, good or bad, together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). This was true in the days of Adam and Eve, and it is still true today, and always will be.
Grace and peace to you, Jim.

when asking me questions of this nature otherwise
my answers will be of no profit to you.
As Jesus once stated if I tell you of earthly things an you believe not
how can I tell you of heavenly things and you can believe?
And I would suggest to you to not mock me at all in any way.

Post #9We all have limitations in faith and understanding, jimtatertayte. All of us. Because, jimtateratye, none of us are God. But you are apparently equating yourself with God, which is... well, not good.jimtatertayte wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 1:41 pm Please stay within the limitations of your faith and understanding when asking me questions of this nature otherwise my answers will be of no profit to you. I didn't. And I won't, but not because of your "suggestion."jimtatertayte wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 1:41 pm And I would suggest to you to not mock me at all in any way.

but it shall be for me at the appointed time. And the appointed time is not far from now.
I think it is wonderful that you take God exalting Himself in me as I equating myself with Him
I do not seek the praise of men but I seek the praise of God.
I love the praise of God.
