Do you think Jesus knew he was going to die in Jerusalem and that it was for a purpose?

Jesus said: This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
Proverbs 18:17 The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him.

This must be a later addition in the Bible.
Jesus was sure that he was not to die a cursed death on the Cross. Didn't he pray for it in the Garden of Gethsemane, please?

How do you know which parts of the Bible are 'later additions'?

How do you know which parts you can trust?

Can you quote the verse you are referring to?
Proverbs 18:17 The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him.

How does one sift reality/facts from superstition/myth, please?

It's your thread Paarsurrey1. You're the one that quoted the Bible.

It made me believe you regarded the bible as a valid source. Now it feels like when the debate is against you that you call it all myth. It's hypocrisy.

Do you want to explore whether Jesus believed in the Trinity or not?

Only Truth in the Bible is a valid source, not the things added later into it, please.

How do you identify which parts were added later? What is your method?

Jesus did not die on the Cross, he had prayed to YHVH to save him a cursed death on Cross. Doesn't one believe in the fulfillment of his supplications in the Garden, please?

[4:156] Then, because of their breaking of their covenant, and their denial of the Signs of Allah, and their seeking to kill the Prophets unjustly, and their saying: ‘Our hearts are wrapped in covers,’ — nay, but Allah has sealed them because of their disbelief, so they believe not but little —
[4:157] And because of their disbelief and their uttering against Mary a grievous calumny,
[4:158] And their saying, ‘We did kill the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah;’ whereas they slew him not, nor crucified him, but he was made to appear to them like one crucified; and those who differ therein are certainly in a state of doubt about it; they have no definite knowledge thereof, but only follow a conjecture; and they did not convert this conjecture into a certainty;
[4:159] On the contrary, Allah exalted him to Himself. And Allah is Mighty, Wise.

It is possible to accept what Christ said in the Garden without accepting your idea that he did not die on the cross.

Amusing though this is, that God should so utter, it is hardly proof of anything other than Muhammad's clever ability to concoct messages. Can you hear GOD arguing in this way?
