[center]RESCUED BY MARY

Once upon a time, there was a man who was lost at sea;
a sea of doctrinal confusion and despair.

He had been tossed to and fro, by wave after wave for many days,
until finally, he had reached his demise,
he would drown.

Suddenly, he spots something on the horizon!
His hope is renewed.
And then, as suddenly as it appeared, a huge wooden ship pulls up alongside him,
with Eternal Father written across the bow.

He looks up and sees the Captain of his Salvation in the wheel house,
with the Holy Ghost as Her main Sail.

But wait, there more. There’s someone running up the Vessel’s starboard side,
with something in hand.
It’s a Woman!

She leans back and heaves Her buoy with rope attached.
It lands besides him.

He reaches out and grabs the lifesaver with his last dying breath
before he goes under for good.
Without strength and exhausted, he can do little more.

She begins to haul him in, hand over hand;
he’s amazed by Her strength and unflinching determination.

Finally, as She reaches out to grab him by the hand,
he looks up to notice Her sleeves are rolled up,
revealing Her powerful forearms and weather beaten hands.

He realizes whoever this Woman is, She’s been doing this for a long time.
And as She clasps him tightly, he looks up and realizes -
It’s Mary!!

She pulls him safely on board,
as She turns and looks up towards Her Soverign.

They briefly meet eye to eye,
as He turns His mighty wheel, and sails away.

I don't recall asking you any questions, other than why you felt Mary could save anyone.
Rescued by Mary wrote: You have way to much time on you hands, Insight.
I have all of eternity, time is of no consequence.
Rescued by Mary wrote: Find something else to do than argue against God, man.
I never argue against God. I just argue with people who think they are God.
Rescued by Mary wrote: At lest the time I am spending with you has some sort of sense to it, even if it's totally wrong.
You time is yours to spend on whatever you so choose. ;)
Rescued by Mary wrote: But you? What are you doing? What are you trying to accomlpish, anyway?
Like Jesus, I expose the hypocrites.

If it was worthy of his time, it should be worthy of mine as well doncha think?
Rescued by Mary wrote: Prove Catholics wrong, for what? According to you there is no eternal consequence anyway. Go golfing or something, really..
Golfing? For me that would indeed be a total waste of time.

I don't need to prove Catholicism it's dying on it own. I just heard a report on BBC about how the Catholic Churches in Europe are near empty and they can't even afford to keep up normal maintenance costs for the cathedrals. The question they posed was not how to save the religion as they don't see that as a possibility, but maybe the cathedrals could be saved as some sort of art or historical value project.

I agree they should save the buildings just for the artistic value.

Insight - Do you realize what you have just said?

You are arguing with yourself!! You think you are God, man.

A lot of people talk to themselves, Insight.

Few answer themselves back...

I'm concerned for you Divine, really.

I can't keep this up though, friend. Time is limited for me.

I hope you'll understand If I cannot return frequently?

God Loves you Divine Insight, O.K.?

I don't give a hoot whether you respond to my posts or not.

Whatever gave you that idea?

What? You just accused me of thinking that I'm God, and here you are telling me how God feels about me.

Are you the official spokesperson for God? :-k

I have no problem with God RBM, I'm certain that God loves me with all Her divine heart. How could She not love me? You'd be hard-pressed to find a more lovable guy. ;)

But what does any of this have to do with the male-chauvinistic Hebrew picture of God. Even Jesus rejected that God. Jesus was like me, he proclaimed that he and God are One, and then he went on to clarify that we are all gods.

So I'm in perfect harmony with both Jesus and God.

I have never questioned God's love for me. She's loved me dearly since early childhood. Her love for me has never wavered.

In fact, aren't you a little belated in your claim that God loves me? You've already condemned me several times over for being things that the jealous male-chauvinistic Hebrew God supposedly hates. I'm certain that God wouldn't love me, nor would I love him. He's too busy playing egotistical games of jealous with other Gods like Zeus, etc. He's just a spoiled brat with a big ego and a hateful personality.

You do realize that he hated Eve so much that he cursed her with greatly multiplied sorrow in conception and childbirth.

What kind of a sadistic God would do such a mean heartless thing?

Moreover, God is supposedly the one who wants humans to procreate so he can have more people wallowing at his feet worshiping him. Eve should have laughed at God when God cursed her with greatly multiplied sorrow in conception and childbirth and simply said to God, "Fine, then I won't have any more children".

That would have put a cork the hateful God of the Hebrews.

Surely you don't believe that God is a jerk?

If you truly believe that God is loving you should look into Wicca. ;)

Then you could have a picture of God that you don't need to make excuses for.

Are you still reading this?

I thought you didn't have time for this?

I must confess that conversing with you does add humor to my day.

First you try to condemn me, then you start telling me that God loves me. You need to make up your mind and get your story straight.

I'm just typing rambling thoughts because unlike you I have eternity and time is always here an now no matter when it is. ;)

I just finished cutting down a tree for firewood. I waiting for bath water to heat up, then I'm going to grab a bite to eat, and finally practice some blues lessons on piano and drums.

See, no harm done in terms of time. Although I suppose I could have been practicing the trumpet right now. Maybe I will after all.

I can write a trumpet tune entitled "The Goddess Loves Me". That could fun.

I'm so sorry Insight.

Please forgive me for misunderstanding you at times.

I seems I'm causing more problems than I am solving here with you.

Don't necessarily reject Cathilicism because of my stupid ass O.K.?

Good Bye Insight. Did my best for you and Our Lady.

No problem. You don't know enough about me to have a misunderstanding. All you've been doing is jumping to totally far-fetched conclusions that have nothing at all to do with me. So there's really nothing to forgive. ;)

No problems at this end. I've thoroughly enjoyed our conversations, I found them quite entertaining.
Rescued by Mary wrote: Don't necessarily reject Cathilicism because of my stupid ass O.K.?
No need to worry about that. I would never reject an entire religion based on the behavior of someone who claims to be a member of it. I've ruled out Catholicism for reasons related to the actual religion many decades ago. ;)

I sure you mean well in your own mind. I don't take that away from you. Still though, rather than trying to force other people's relationship with God I sincerely suggest that you would do well to allow people to have their own relationship with God.

I too find the accolade to be a delightful painting as are all of Edmund Leighton's paintings. ;)
