Point to ponder

Most do not realize that all at front physical theories stem from the standard model. String, supersymetry, multiverse, and quantum loop all have their basis from the standard model. Quarks are strings come into play at a smaller scale if other quarks do not exist. Another interesting note that two pioneers of string are now at intellectual odds 1 still holding to string theory and higher/more dimensions, the other brought about the theory of the multi verse. David Gross and Frank Wilczek check them out and this if interested.

Basis? Only if you consider the ridiculous infinities that pop up when trying to use the standard model to explain gravity a starting point for theories of strings and LQG, which avoid point singularities.

Umm huh not sure what you are saying? Nearly all known popular theories such as "String" or "Quantum Loop Gravity" are based on the standard model. True the majority of these theories are from the infinity value you arise at when dealing with gravity at the very smallest scale measurable. Yet this is only because of our lack of understand ing of actual space. As in Relativity space has an effect on matter and matter on space, the warping of space due to matter causes the gravitational effect. Since relativity is a geometric theory we must also look at space geometrically.

To confirm (super)string theory, researchers at CERN are attempting to generate a micro black hole, which, when it decays, will fill the detector with an array of new particles not embraced by the standard model, but which will have simple relationships with each other with respect to mass, which correlates to vibrating string harmonics. A parallel set of research is happening using cosmic rays in the upper atmosphere to stand in lieu of a collider. The standard model is taken to be a subset of string theory. Particle physics stands apart from QLG.

Well yes but confirm super string isn't the purpose of CERN. If supersymmetry is correct micro blackholes should be produced and decay into these other particles. As per quantum loop gravity is still dependant on reconciling how the classical model, that does work, integrates into a model solely base on quantum formulation. This too has not been resolved. I misspoke when I said based yet it must reconcile standard model not just a quanta based probabilities. The degree of certainty the standard model provide just like QT must be accounted for.

True QL does not care about matter itself were ST does and QL based on 4D and ST now for majority being 10 or 11 dimensions. There has ben work on merging the two but applying discrete quanta's to relativity doesn't hold up. Yet QL tries to use QT inconjunction of GR's 4 dimensions. I said based due in part to the origin as per a missing piece or pieces from the standard model. Just to insert the formulation of the Standard Model mid 70's and QLG 1980-1990's roughly (although Penrose work from 60's is used within), they do not necessarily model the same physics. QLG is more about in a very basic sense energy quanta being caused by space itself were the standard model is more to do about matter itself. I myself like to use functional integral quantizations when possible in conjunction with Nth dimensional topologies that contain localized 1D voids that lead to the origin of 3D matter(particles). Gravity is weak because space is Nth dimensional and only due to the origin of 1D holes can the quanta be formalized and become nondiscrete(matter/3D). I am now working with Superfluid theory to integrate some form of particle modes. Blahblah blah
