How to praise a member's post:

- Next to the user's post that you like, click on "MPG Donation".
- Enter how many tokens you'd like to donate and enter a comment on that particular post. It'll then send a PM to that user and also automatically post in this thread the message you entered.
- MPG donations may not be used for anything other than to praise a post or to acknowledge agreement. It cannot be used to denigrate, debate, or question a post.

A great rebuttal. I particularly appreciate this: "Note 'apparent fine-tuning' – guessing is not verifiable evidence."
To be clear: Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.

Everything about this post is spot on. It is especially valuable as it gently but clearly urges the poster to address the OPQ rather than question the mindset of the poster who asked it.

I treasure a through understanding of "God".

Cheers

"God" … just whatever humans imagine it to be.

"Scripture" … just whatever humans write it to be.

Valiant effort!
George Orwell:: “The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those who speak it.”
Voltaire: "Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities."
Gender ideology is anti-science, anti truth.

"Think about that a bit. If Theists stop talking about 'gods' and 'Jesus' what would Atheists have to protest?"

*applauds*
Christianity has not changed its belief system to accommodate scientific thought.

"You seem to be disagreeing with scientific specialization. If not, please would you explain the perihelion precession of Mercury in terms of consciousness?"

Yep, that pretty much blows the hypothesis of the OP clean out of the water.

Exactly. Con artists are claiming out of the woodwork all over the place lately and religious proselytizers are no exception. They should be ashamed of themselves for trying to take advantage of a serious pandemic.

"Blessed are they who believe without proof." People lose lots of money being so blessed."

Very true words!
Follow the money...
You can give a man a fish and he will be fed for a day, or you can teach a man to pray for fish and he will starve to death.

I blame man for codifying those rules into a book which allowed superstitious people to perpetuate a barbaric practice. Rules that must be followed or face an invisible beings wrath. - KenRU

It is sad that in an age of freedom some people are enslaved by the nomads of old. - Marco

If you are unable to demonstrate that what you believe is true and you absolve yourself of the burden of proof, then what is the purpose of your arguments? - brunumb
