What is the difference between love & sex-?
while I was a teenager, the term “sex” was not a term spoken among my circles. I grew up believing intercourse was for the procreation of children. I still believe this, only--------
At the same time, I had a few girlfriends. We held hands, kissed each other from time to time and continued a great relationship; but I never considered this “sex”.

I eventually married and now I am a grandfather several time over.

My desire to have children has long since passed; I am a grandfather several times over, but I still enjoy the company of a woman. Having said the above, I now wonder if my joy of having the company of a women; a feeling of “sex” or one of “love”; or is there a difference-?
My wife has long since divorced me for unclear reasons

Sitting all that aside, I believe I know the difference and God willing you do too

Seems like the answers are truly personal and dependent on the people asked, not to mention the 'mood at the time'.
Have a great, potentially godless, day!

I've heard people say God is love. I've never heard anyone say God is sex. Given that there is more sex in the world than love, maybe that should be the other way around. O:)
George Orwell:: “The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those who speak it.”
Voltaire: "Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities."
Gender ideology is anti-science, anti truth.

The only thing that distorted the term “love” into sex are TV sitcoms that are written around sex and rarely wright scrips that brings out the love between two fellow human beings.
But there is one up side to TV shows, 98% of the time the show (movie) ends with a good act leaving you feeling better for watching it.
At least that is how I see it

BTW: I have never talked about God in that way.
O:)

I wonder where the concepts of "sex" and "love", as used here, first appeared in human history. If earlier than sitcoms (what 1950-ish time frame?) seems sitcoms are getting a bad rap!

So this isn't the case of you wanting to know the difference, but testing others to see if their conclusions match yours.

Sorry, maybe next year. .........Or the year after.

Have a good day.

No, I was/am looking for an honest answer which you cannot provide, honesty does not seem to be your best atribute

Ah, but I can.

Q. what is the difference between love and sex?

A: . . . .

Love:

love

/ləv/
noun: love; plural noun: loves

1. an intense feeling of deep affection.
"babies fill parents with feelings of love"

2.a great interest and pleasure in something.
"his love for football"

Sex:

sex
/seks/
biology
noun
noun: sex; plural noun: sexes

1. (chiefly with reference to people) sexual activity, including specifically sexual intercourse.
"they enjoyed talking about sex"

So love is an emotion whereas sex is a physical activity. A pretty obvious difference don't you think?

honesty does not seem to be your best atribute
Why is that, have I said something dishonest? If so, what?

Not a good question to ask me, since what most people call lust, I call love.

And what most people call love, I call friendship.

To me, love is inseparable from a desire to mate and reproduce.
