While people have come to me and tell me about Christianity and the Bible, no Christian has ever really explained to me why I should be a Christian or to be more specific, why I should believe in the Bible.
Obviously, the point of becoming a Christian is believing Jesus Christ of Nazareth died for my sins and is my savior. But why should I believe that is true? What makes the Bible truth as opposed to another religious book such as the Qur'an.
A very simple yet thought provoking question I should think, and I definitely would really appreciate some input regarding the matter. Thank you.

Post #11Hey Commodore. I'm new here but I'd like to see if I can clarify from my perspective for you. The Bible is interesting indeed. Jesus Christ claims to be The Son of God. Not only does He claim this but , it is written, so that you may come to know Him.TheCommodore wrote:While people have come to me and tell me about Christianity and the Bible, no Christian has ever really explained to me why I should be a Christian or to be more specific, why I should believe in the Bible.
No, There is much more. To know the truth and the truth will set you free.TheCommodore wrote: Obviously, the point of becoming a Christian is believing Jesus Christ of Nazareth died for my sins and is my savior.
Only you can decide for yourself if it is true or not. There has to be a point whether or not your going to trust in the wisdom of God or the knowledge of man.TheCommodore wrote: But why should I believe that is true?
