Christians,
How would your life change if you were to learn that the resurrection of Jesus never occurred?

Re: What If There Had Been No Resurrection?
Post #21No, I don't believe that at all. Nothing lives on after a person dies. According to the bible Christ wasn't dead when he appeared to his disciples after his resurrection, he was alive. All, teachings and religious dogma about immoral "souls" surviving the death of the body is, I believe, just so much nonsense.
No offence.

Re: What If There Had Been No Resurrection?
Post #22Sorry, but your "rather" doesn't negate what the Watchtower, February 15, 1984, p. 9 said: “The rest of faithful humankind will live on earth as the subjects of these rulers.” You can't change horses mid-stream and claim it's the same horse.JehovahsWitness wrote: ↑Sun Jun 18, 2023 4:16 pmThat may be the case in this world for human governments but biblically that will not be the case with Christ and his 144,000 co-rulers. Indeed rather than speak of those on in paradise serving their rulers, the Watchtower makes the following explicit statements in regard to service ...
Wholly irrelevant. These individuals, who would number 144,000, would serve as underpriests in God’s spiritual temple arrangement. (Revelation 7:4; 14:1; 20:6) - Watchtower 2000 January 15 p.16 par 10
Nice I guess, but again, wholly irrelevant. The priesthood in Israel was just a shadow of a much greater priesthood—the 144,000, who will serve alongside Christ in heaven. (Heb. 4:14; 8:3-5; 10:1) - Watchtower 2019 November 15 p. 24 par 14
Call them "humans" or whatever you like, but according to your own publication those of the Great Crowd serve their rulers, those who make up the Little Flock. The subjects will of course be obedient to their king Jesus and those he works with but the latter are in need of no "servicing" from any humans.

But where is Christ human body? Stolen and buried? Decomposed? What do you mean by resurrection? That God transform his dead body? Or that God gave him life in a spiritual body in a spiritual world...

Re: What If There Had Been No Resurrection?
Post #27Have you never seen this word in the bible? It seems you have been introduced to Christianity, have you never seen this word before ?
A resurrection is when someone that has died comes back to life.

Please read the rest before answering...And how many JWs do you think have an ancestry that goes back to any of these tribes? My guess is 7 or 8 at best. HOWEVER, some JWs have singled themselves out as deserving membership whether they were from any of the 12 tribes or not. At least that's how they tell their story.

I understand resurrection. But do not know what you mean by it. Was it Christ dead body that came alive again? Or did God give him a spiritual body...
