No teddies were harmed in these productions!

Our Anglican Priest daughter has been busy over the last few weeks. These productions have proved popular and I believe have been viewed by a large audience. I have permission to put them on forums.

Great! Well done! Good storyteller's voice there! :D

The Bible should be like that, brought to the new generations by great voices!

"Keep up the good work!" :D
I'm cool! :) - Stronger Religion every day! Also by "mathematical Religion", the eternal forms, God closing the door on corrupt humanity, possibly!

Glad you like it. :) My husband and I don't it our daughter's way as we are unbelievers, but she certainly does a good presentation.

From what I gather many Anglican churches are quite progressive (eg. recognizing that those stories of Daniel and the Deuteronomic narrative were much later, non-historical compositions) and with nonbelieving parents too, I have to wonder: Does your daughter actually believe that all these stories really happened?

If not, the thread Children's Church Hermeneutics would seem quite relevant.
SallyF wrote: Wed May 13, 2020 6:29 am Grownup Christians regularly tell us that stories such as Eve and the Talking Serpent, and Balaam and His Talking Donkey, and just a whole bunch of other biblical stuff is only "figurative".

Because, well, you know, grownups these days just can't take it literally anymore: so it MUST be figurative.

But that's not what we tell Christian kiddies in Children's Church ..! We don't tell them we don't take these stories literally ourselves
SallyF wrote: Thu May 14, 2020 4:50 pm In Sunday School/Children's Church, we brainwash/indoctrinate children with biblical stories.
We tell them these things really happened.
And the children BELIEVE.
And the children develop "faith". . . .

But the five-year-olds colouring-in the extract from "scripture" have been told by the same people that Johan DID live in a whale.
And we have effectively taught Christian kiddies that it's acceptable to be devious when it comes to explaining the "Word of God"
A custom I regularly see in certain grownup Christians today

Yes, I think that is a great idea. The "Teddy story" was cute and I'm sure would be good for tiny tots.

We have what we call " Dramatic bible readings " which are audio recordings of biblical extracts with various voices and some sound effects. I think they are quite good and really bring the bible to life!

We don't have David and Goliath in DBR but in an animated design feature
