Please explain the mechanism behind how he does this. I fear you, like those of old are seeing things that take place in nature and crediting such things to your preferred god concept. You know, like humans have done throughout known history.
Is there anything different when you do it (compared to one that would credit Demeter for example)?
indeed each harvest season he does everything to feed us
Anyone that understands farming knows this claim to be false, but perhaps I'm missing something...
By what mechanism does this god concept do things each harvest in order to feed us? Once again, I wonder if you will point to something natural and assign the supernatural to it to justify a prefered god concept.
- Also, in case our common sense and God instilled inscticts were not enough, he provides instructions to love each other (apparently we do need to be told this in a book) which translates amongst other things to "Ensure the provided food is fairly distributed".
Due to the fact that there are atheists that are capable of loving each other, it is a false belief to thing that a god is required in anyway.
- He has also provided a real life model in the ancient Jewish State of Israel that in a workable way was designed to protect the vulnerable against starvation.
Can you actually show that a god did this? All other humans throughout time have come up with legal systems and ways that societies opperate, but when the Jews did it, a god actually did it? How does that work? Again, it seems you are looking at something very natural (humans form societies) and assigning it to your preferred god concept. That is how Zeus got his thunder ability. As knowledge increased, the gaps for the gods to dwell in seem to be decreasing.
If we have starvation today, as others more eloquent than myself have pointed out, it is not because of God
I disagree with DavidLeon on this as well and also can find no evidence to suggest he speaks the truth.
<snipped preaching>
You can give a man a fish and he will be fed for a day, or you can teach a man to pray for fish and he will starve to death.
I blame man for codifying those rules into a book which allowed superstitious people to perpetuate a barbaric practice. Rules that must be followed or face an invisible beings wrath. - KenRU
