Joey, I have one question to help me understand. Do you believe life to be completely pointless and meaningless, having no purpose of any kind?
Like Purple said, this wasn't asked of me. However, I would like to answer if you are good with that.

In the grand scheme of things, there is no point to anything. If we are correct in our current conclusions about the future, then trillions of years from now the universe will enter heat death. That means that there will be no usable energy because everything will be at the same temp. No life will be able to exist, and everything will fall apart. All the works of art, the great books, the biggest buildings will all crumble away.

That doesn't mean that each one of us can't have purpose in our lives in my opinion. Even though nothing will survive long term, I'm still trying to build a life and make the world better and leave something behind for my kids. Just because I know that there is no ultimate purpose doesn't mean I can't accomplish something during my lifetime.

Edit out what I did say, to say me this...

Please address the topic of the OP, and not the one that presented it.
I am, as always, completely uninterested in debating any person. I am only seeking a straight answer.
As am I.

You got you any answer to the OP?

Sean Hannity is a riot! I suggest watching and or listening to him for a good laugh, if you're having a bad day.
It seems, based only on that sentence, it reminds me of slavery, in a sense. Not for 'the master' but for others. Or, at the very least, God is commerce based.
Regardless, it's great to know SH has figured out one of the biggest questions of humanity: why are we here. Maybe that's why his last name is so close to the word 'humanity'?
Inquiring minds, and all that.
Have a great, potentially godless, day!

I hear ya. It'd be comical if so many didn't just sop it up.

I would not deny that IF there is a Creator, that part of the reason for creating THEN would have to do with 'service to each other' [rather than 'to others'].

My reason for this has to do with observing our situation and knowing that we are all in co-dependent situations - not sovereignty situations...although the lines are often blurred...

Service to one another adds to the survival of the species in a collective sense. In that capacity it becomes the foundation for other 'reasons' why we -in the creation - exist...why the creation exists.

This reason would not diminish even if it meant that we ourselves were not 'created' but rather 'placed into the creation' as types of ambassadors of The Creator.

Which is to say another way - IF we are all particles of Creator Consciousness - "service to one another" would not automatically have to be removed from the table of discussion [saying and doing] ...sovereignty is simply enacted in another manner...through each individual whom realizes the fact of sovereignty in relation to being a particle of The Creators Consciousness, and how that 'fits in' with "others".
