This is ONLY for Christians. Response by atheists and the like will be ignored.
You claim you are washed of all your sins through the sacrifice of Jesus.
Correct? Yes
You use the book of Leviticus to show that without the shedding of blood there is no atonement. Correct? Yes
You believe Jesus died once for all sins.
Correct? Yes
You claim that you are no longer under the law. That Jesus replaced it.
Correct? Yes
Now explain how one who says the laws are done away with think they can benefit from the laws of the sacrificial system? You have no protection under the law because you reject it. Moreover, even if you accepted the law Jesus was an unacceptable sacrifice. You need to read. The blood if the sacrifice MUST be placed on the alter. And it must be done at the temple. A disgusting place like Golgotha? Unacceptable!!
And explain how Jesus died was for all sins when the scripture tells us that in the messianic age the sacrificial system will be reinstated. Not only that but the messiah will offer a sacrifice for himself and also for the nation. Jesus, the demigod is said to be sinless. So why would he bring a sacrifice for his sins?
Lastly, sacrifices are ONLY good for unintentional sins. And need I say...most all our sins are intentional. We knew we were wrong when we did it. Even if the pagan act if human sacrifice was acceptable...and that Jesus was sacrificed in the temple and his blood out in the alter...the law states that he couldn't do much to help you.
That is how the law reads. God has made this clear. You may say you believe IN God. You just don't BELIEVE Him. Teaching your kids that it doesn't matter what God says. That a place called the Skull where dead bodies hang from trees is how you honor God. That a smelly filthy place is okay. Your Jesus is unacceptable. Why do you ignore God? He has explained the sacrificial system.
I'm curious what torturous explainations will be given. Christians talk about their love of "the word". Whose words do they obey? If Gods voice is 'the word' they claim to obey I'll know if that is true by how they answer.

Post #12If the prince hasn't come, it doesn't matter whether he's the Messiah or not. He's a figure who offers animals as sacrifices to atone for sin, so if he comes in the future that rules out Jesus as the final atoning sacrifice.

It depends on which God one believes in. God is ever evolving. The OT God and the NT God are two different versions and they are probably subsets of each of those. Those who favor the older version are not likely to agree with those who favor the newer and vice versa. Neither group is likely to convince the other of much of anything especially if it includes a claim that one group doesn't believe God. Each group is fully convinced they do.

To be clear: Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.

Post #14I don't know. God is clearly absent here on earth and things really aren't too bad at all. According to the Bible, all hell is supposed to break loose when he actually shows up.Aetixintro wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 8:50 am Consistently doing sins leads people to Hell, an eternity without the presence of God.

An unintentional sin would be if you went to work Saturday afternoon but you thought it was Friday. Working on the Sabbath is prohibited. It would be unintentional if you didnt do it intentionally. But if a person goes to work on the sabbath (fri sunset to saturday sunset( knowing what time it was that is intentional.
If one commits a sin and knew it when they did it it is intentional. If we cheat on our spouse we know its wrong. Thats intentional.
Most sins we commit are intentional.
Hope that answers you
