That Noah was one of the evil hosts that, like Satan in the Garden, or Satan wit Job, he simply instructed one of his people (Noah) to take the place of God's good family.

After all evil survived the flood...

Doesn't the concept that the person surviving the flood being evil and corruptible demonstrate the entire Abrahamic religion is false?

According to my religion, there is indeed an anwser to the question as to whether one can show if Satan has defeated God, namely to look to the information in the bible.[/color]

GOD DEFEATS SATAN

Scripture in no way presents Satan as defeating God (YHWH) quite the opposite, God is presented as having has exposed Satan as a liar, debased and humiliated him and his angelic forces and prophecy indicates YHWH Jehovah will eventually destroy all Satan had achieved and annilhilate Satan himself.

ROMANS 16:20

For his part, the God who gives peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.

No. Firsrly any free moral agent is "corruptible" being corruptible is a component being human, the deciding factor from a religious point of view is not whether we can be corrupted but whether we choose to be.


WAS NOAH A RIGHTEOUS MAN?



If by evil one means the complete lack of any goodness, then there is no valid reason to conclude the Noah of the bible was either evil man or corrupt; quite the contrary Noah was presented as a godly man worthy of divine favor.

GENESIS 6:9

Noah was a righteous man. He proved himself faultless* among his contemporaries. Noah walked with the true God.

WAS NOAH A DRUNK?

The bible does not present Noah as someone who habitually abused alcohol. It is an unfair assumption to conclude one reported incident was typical of ingrained habitual behaviour. Indeed who of us would like to have one incident or error we regret, used to define our whole lives?



That Noah did not become "a drunk" is supported in scripture since centuries after his death was held up in scripture as being one of the most outstanding men in Gods eyes.

EZEKIEL 14: 14

Even if these three men—Noah, Daniel, and Job —were within it, they would be able to save only themselves* because of their righteousness,’ declares the Sovereign Lord Jehovah.”

Scripture is quite catagoric on this point, righteousness is essentially a pronouncement of the divine assessment of ones overal character based on ones attitude and life choices. While only Jesus was perfect, countless men and women, have been dearly loved by God for their love for him and his standards. According to the bible Noah is counted among this number Noah.

GENESIS 6:9

Noah was a righteous man.

The Bible, New and Old Testament is a bunch of sour grapes written by Yahweh, whining victory when Satan despoiled creation by seducing Eve, when in fact, well Satan despoiled creation, and God was helpless to prevent or cure it... still is.

He tried to remove evil in the flood, again, but it survived.
God declared victory to foolish humans, who didn't know how rainbows got made, all the while Satan had usurped the Ark with his own followers, whom Satan also had rewrite the history, from reality to the fantasy of Genesis, etc..

That's it, you have no counter-argument that does not revolve around the Bible, which is discredited by the fact evil survived the flood.

When you tell me how evil survived the flood, you have made your case.

Well I see no evidence you have any criticism of "Noah" that does not revolve around the Bible. The OP asked that a

1. hypothesis be addressed {quote} "according to religion"{end quote} and

2. The reader accept the premise of the question which is based in the biblical judeo-christian text

... I merely presented my opinion based on the same. If you wish to dismiss the bible itself as a reference may I suggest you do not use the bible as the basis for your question.

Your criticism is evidently based on {to quote you} "the book of Genesis"{end quote}. Since you have evidently based your point on the bible book of Genesis, there no valid reason to reject a response based on the same book you yourself are using

• You introduce a bible character in the OP

• You propose a conclusion based presumbly on an anylysis of the character presented in the bible

And then ....

• You reject a counterargument on the premise that they are presented from the same book you refer to.

You have obviously not read the Bible, nor the post.

Satan corrupted Eve thus all of creation, defeating God humiliatingly.
Unless you believe that God wanted creation spoiled.
God failed to remove evil with the flood, also humiliatingly.
Then he was forced to sacrifice his only son so then most people will not go to Heaven.

As to the post, it effectively undermines the Old Testament in a testable, observable way.
Please address the post in the future - and please have an education in the Bible before you ask obvious questions...
