Does God kill?

We all know that god has killed people on more than one occasion, based on the old testament stories.

For discussion:
Do you think god directly (ie not allows someone to be killed) kills anyone today?
If no, why do you think the OT god was such an angry so-n-so while the NT god seems to be a lot calmer and slower to annihilate humans?
Have a great, potentially godless, day!

One doesn't have to read nearly that far. Even if Acts 1:18 isn't God directly smiting Judas and fits what is meant by God "allowing" his death, Acts 5 tells the story of God smiting a couple that didn't put all their money in the collection plate.
One could make the case god 'allows' everyone to die and thus, causes death.
I was curious about, specifically, god killing someone (smushin' them with his finger from above, as it were).
I suppose, one could place blame on god for the gravity that caused the tree to fall and 'smush' someone....
In that vein, I guess we'll never know for sure - god seems to have his hand involved in everything and nothing at the same time.
Have a great, potentially godless, day!
