Is it intellectually dishonest to claim "God has always existed, without beginning and without end;"
yet claim the universe must have had a beginning?

But why include the attribute of 'mind?'
Because mind exists within matter.

If mind didn't exist, then yes - there would be no point in including it.
This sounds like the Platonic ideal: everything that exists now must somehow have always existed in an ideal form somewhere.

Did "what has always existed" also include tea, teapots, and cucumber sandwiches?
My pronouns are he, him, and his.

Can you support your claim that 'mind exists within matter?
Brains are matter.

is that a joke? Or are you seriously equating nerve cells themselves (with no electrical activity) with the projection of MIND via the interplay of those trillions of connections as outlined previously?
:) Yes, but that does not answer the q
We understand that human consciousness, or 'mind' presents itself due to matter, the 100 billion or so neurons of the brain, with each neuron having up to about 15,000 connections. These are staggering numbers and these trillions of connections project consciousness. We know this because when sections of our brain are damaged or removed, consciousness and other aspects of brain activity change. Ultimately, no neurons = no brain activity.
The mass of neurons is like a chunk of granite, no 'mind' is produced without the interaction. When I'm dead, what's left of my brain will indeed be matter, but there will no longer be a mind.

That is a belief. You have no idea whether what you believe about this, is what will eventuate upon the death of your brain.
