Deserving

People have said people deserve to be happy and healthy. While an opinion, it does make sense (at least in the sense of 'being happy').
Some people say humans deserve hell for their sins (even if it's inherited).
For discussion:
Is there anything humanity is deserving of? If not, why not? If so, why? And what is it?

I'd like to say that we have also worked hard for peace, prosperity and happiness and a cure for the common cold, but there just seem to be too many people who just seem to want the other thing.

I'd like to say that we have also worked hard for peace, prosperity and happiness and a cure for the common cold, but there just seem to be too many people who just seem to want the other thing.

I wonder, are more people working for hostility, destruction and the like, or are they simply to more powerful and influential?
But to the answers: yes, it would be nice to have, not all, but more. Especially when people threaten others with 'eternal hell and torment' and the like.
But, with these answers, there would be no need for faith. And, without faith, most religions (christianity especially) can't survive.
Maybe that's the reason there aren't many more answers?

But it takes people (believers) to make this membership grow. Without needy people, god wouldn't need to exist.
