Is Jesus already here?

Is Jesus already here? What determines your answer?
Will you be going to Israel to see him or is he coming to your town?

Some people today claim to be the Messiah. How do you know they aren't?

It’s not something a normal person is going to make a mistake about. Since you have not seen lightening in the sky, it is safe to say that there was none.”
Unless of course it's the Fourth of July in the grand U.S. of A. Or sadly, wartime in the Ukraine. Humans can create all kinds of stuff that looks, feels and sounds like thunder. In fact, we can far surpass it. Ancient authors had no idea of how weak their analogies would be based on the technology to come. Probably because they thought Jesus' return was around the corner. It wasn't and there is no reason to believe it is or ever will be or ever will occur.

To be clear: Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.

Not believing isn't the same as believing not.

I must assume that knowing is better than not knowing, venturing than not venturing; and that magic and illusion, however rich, however alluring, ultimately weaken the human spirit.

Unless you are suggesting that a reasonable person would mistake fireworks for lightening, the ancient author's analogy remains sound.
