Racism in America - How should we address it?

George Floyd was murdered, and it was captured on camera. Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin had his knee pinned against Floyd’s neck for close to eight minutes. We heard a haunting repetition of the words “I can’t breathe.” Floyd cried out for his deceased mother and called out for his children as he desperately clung to life. Chauvin sat there, smug, hand in his pocket, with little regard for the man dying underneath the pressure of his knee. All of this over someone allegedly trying to use a counterfeit twenty-dollar bill at a local deli.

Every one should be treated Equally. Recently i have seen an article about corona virus vaccine is being tested on Africa. Even today we are not treated Black peoples equally.
We treating black people like experimental rats. Since the beginning of corona virus pandemic whether it is for buy n 95 mask or providing free masks, groceesory etc we treated black people like inferior people. this should be stooped immediately.

Sad that we continue to get non answers from forum right wingers but that has been proven to be the norm here.

As for racism, one way to not address the problem is the continued and FAILED use of recognition technology:

https://www.aclu.org/news/privacy-techn ... px09eDcLf4

Innocent people (mostly black) have been misidentified by this failed technology. What is worse is that some have been convicted and are still in prison for crimes they never committed! Again, further proof of systemic racism which remains denied by so many on the right wing.

How to address the problem? Continue to FIRE each and everyone of the trouble making racists in the police departments. Make very, very sure these criminals are never hired as cops ever again. One more thing - right wingers need to stop defending their hate and treason.

Agree 100%. This is precisely what the USA needs to do.

Welcome Torri,

I would like to see testing of vaccines and potential new cures (such as disinfectants) be restricted to the United States.

And I would suggest that citizens of Washington D.C. would be the perfect test group!

If a smaller group was required, the Senate could voluntary to do something actually worthwhile.

Good luck, Torri.

Admit it's real, everyone is racist at some point (if they live past the age of critical thinking), it's learned, it can be unlearned and we should try to treat everyone as equally as possible knowing racism will NEVER go away fully.

Police: Richmond riots instigated by white supremacists disguised as Black Lives Matter

https://www.wsls.com/news/virginia/2020 ... es-matter/

Riots in downtown Richmond over the weekend were instigated by white supremacists under the guise of Black Lives Matter, according to law enforcement officials.

Protesters tore down police tape and pushed forward toward Richmond police headquarters, where they set a city dump truck on fire.

Police declared the event an “unlawful assembly” and ordered people to leave, later deploying tear gas.

Six people were arrested. The mayor of Richmond thanked the Black Lives Matter protesters he said tried to stop the white supremacists from spearheading the violence.

This comes as no surprise since (as I have previously documented on other threads) it has happened all over the USA. Undercover cops, white supremacists, and internationals speaking in European/Slavic accents have been found committing much of the violence and falsely attributing it to BLM and Antifa. All designed to disguise the real culprits in all this trouble.

We should focus on promoting leaders and politicians that make a flagship of their campaign the importance of having an equal for all society. I remember back in the day reading about United Conservative Party candidate has resigned article on a few sites and the issue was the racist comments exposed by people online who felt irritated by them. This kind of leadership should not be accepted in the modern society we have shaped and live in. The good thing is that there are still subjective sources to read on such matters and know how to address the issue as a voter and citizen.
