My theological positions:
-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.
I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

"God" … just whatever humans imagine it to be.
"Scripture" … just whatever humans write it to be.

Exactly. Theists know that their beliefs have no merit and they are desperate to try to lay claim to the same level of certainty as the sciences and mathematics has. It's just utter nonsense.

VERY well done, considering what you had to work with. You're an excellent advocate and apologist for your theological position.

To be clear: Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.

I must assume that knowing is better than not knowing, venturing than not venturing; and that magic and illusion, however rich, however alluring, ultimately weaken the human spirit.

“I hold an allegedly perfect being like God to a higher standard than I hold mere human beings. An omnipotent being has every possible option at his disposal when it comes to solving any problem.
I really like this statement. Thank you for the clarity of thought.

Christianity has not changed its belief system to accommodate scientific thought.

Exactly.
We can't have a theology that claims its God is trustworthy and then argue that if the God is not trustworthy that's not a problem for the theology.
