how can we "see" God?

Post by cristian_gavrilescu »

we have any kind of food with any kind of taste. we have any kind of drink with any kind of taste. we have any kind of material to build and make anything we want, the world is the place to be. evolution couldn't do this. bible quote: "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:" (Matthew 7:7). this is not the kingdom of God. believe in the magic soup of darwin (satan), believe in the frog which became a prince, believe in satan. (bad advice). even if you see God, nothing can make you believe that he is God, nothing can make you believe his law, only faith can do that. how did Lord Jesus anticipate his success, the success of christianity? simple, he knows God, and he is the Son of God.
8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. (Revelation 1:8)

5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. (Luke 4:5-7)

Would you be tempted by this offer? :-k

If not, then why would you think anyone else would be tempted by it?

And if so,... well in that case, I guess it's not surprising that you believe in this religion.

Fantasy land.

There is no mountain from which all kingdoms of the word can be seen.

Before 'the Devil' could give something, 'he' must own it. Let's see the deeds.

Anyone who would fall for this would fall for a sales pitch on oceanfront land in Iowa or mountain land in Florida.

Well, this explains to me why you have no problem embracing this religion. For you it makes perfect sense.

I have no desire to rule the world so it makes no sense to me.

But, yes, I do know that there are those who do. And unfortunately those who believe in this religion must be among them. Otherwise why would they buy into it

You shouldn't believe me -- you should search for that high mountain from which all kingdoms of Earth can be seen. Let us know how that works out for you.

Can 'the devil' give something 'he' doesn't own? How does that work? Is it about like selling the Brooklyn Bridge?

Imagination can be entertaining, can't it?

Don't miss out on the limited time offer for oceanfront land and mountain land.

It is certainly nice that we have all these things (except avocados, YUCK!) but I would argue that there are more essential things than having lots of nice foods to taste, which we don't have.

If I could only have bread, I think I'd be okay.

What I really want is more intelligence and wisdom. I want to know and understand all the things because ignorance hurts people, and I don't want to hurt people.

I ask myself, if I vote for this evil dictator who promises to protect me, is that wrong, or do I have to vote for the nice guy who might seriously take all my stuff to feed the poor?

Do I have to give all my stuff to feed the poor? It seems to me they just breed more, and then there are more mouths to feed.

If I knew all the answers, if I knew what was right and wrong in addition to every cause and result, I could make all the right choices and never hurt anybody. Ask and ye shall receive? I want that, not lots of tasty foods.

If anything, the fact that everything tastes so good seems to represent the left side (satanic temptation), and meditation and bread seems to me to represent the right side (at least shooting for enlightenment).

But this kind of goes to show that in the realm of creationism, and speculating as to the motives of the creator for creating any particular thing, we can't know, so you could say anything was evidence of anything.
