The joke uses the idea of Jesus dying for the sins of humankind while attempting to also imply humans do not sin...so it spoils itself really.
Nah, the joke is perfect. The manmade doctrine of sin is the problem. Of course one can't convince marks to buy their product unless they invent a need for it, thus sin.
