Resurrection

Biblical Ressurection; The idea that dead believers' spirits immediately transit into living believers minds, why not? I.e. the dead believers resurrect immediately and indwell the living belivers here on earth.

I Corinthians 15:23 wrote:But every man in his own order: Christ the first fruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
Myth-one.com wrote:So Jesus will be resurrected first, and that has already occurred.
Noose001 wrote: Sat Nov 20, 2021 3:34 am Christ the first fruits doesn't mean Jesus . . .
It does according to the scriptures:
I Corinthians 15:20 wrote:But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept.

Only God the Father knows the precise time of the Second Coming:
Mark 13:32 wrote:But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. (Mark 13:32)
Are you claiming to be God the father?
Do not confuse end of age with second coming.

You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For, “In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.”
Hebrews 10:36‭-‬37 NIV

“Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.”

Sure it can.

To God, a thousand years is like a day:
Psalm 90:4 wrote:For a thousand years in thy sight are but yesterday when it is past...

There are a couple problems here. The Hebrews passage is not God speaking. The Revelation 22 passage is a message from God delivered by an angel to a human. God would certainly understand that a human would have a very different perspective of the word "soon" than he would. Additional, the Psalmist is speaking of God's perspective, not human's. If God intended for humans to understand this message he would not have used "soon" if he intended to convey a time period that humans would not consider soon.

To be clear: Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.

I must assume that knowing is better than not knowing, venturing than not venturing; and that magic and illusion, however rich, however alluring, ultimately weaken the human spirit.

Paul and Jesus were not addressing God but men.

In the new system of things, a million years from now, we here on the earth will look back and surely remember 2,000 years as passing very quickly.
