Paradise on Earth

When I learned that the Bible speaks of a restored Garden of Eden and the restoration of mankind to the perfection and endless life that Adam forfeited, I was thrilled. Who doesn't want to keep living on this beautiful earth, with our loved ones, and being able to do all the things we love to do---endlessly?

If God said to you today, "When do you want to die?" would you say "now!!"? I don't think very many people would say that.

We CAN live forever here on Earth. The Bible tells us that we can.

Matthew 5:5

And exactually why do you think this verse proves that humans will be on the earth eternally?

Because I understand the righteous to be righteous humans (people) based on the following ...

So follow the way of good people and stay on the paths of the righteous, 21 For only the upright will reside in the earth, And the blameless will remain in it. As for the wicked, they will be cut off from the earth....

Believers remain as humans until changed at or after the Second Coming. We are buried as a natural bodied being and resurrected to everlasting spiritual bodied life:

It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body...

We can then live on the earth eternally because we are no longer humans -- we have become equal unto the angels.

That is why we can live on the earth eternally.

Speaking of those who shall inherit the Kingdom of God in the world to come, Jesus Christ states:

Neither can they die any more, for they are equal unto the angels...

No, I can't simply believe whatever, or what is necessarily taught by mankind.

I'm a Christian, and as such, I am compelled to believe the scriptures.

But you are not believing the scriptures and that is why I said you and I will never come to an agreement. We have to agree to disagree or we will be butting heads forever.

Perhaps if you could answer one question to help explain your belief.

Or do you mean human life will go on as it is now, generation upon generation for eternity?

That begs the question, is "earth" eternal? Are the sun and moon eternal? Where are the 144,000 saved JWs living as of 1918?

The earth is eternal. Jehovah will never let it come to an end, just like the sun and the moon will always be. The 144,000 go to heaven the instant they die, and this has gone on since 1918. Of course many were "asleep" in their graves until that year. But now they won't "sleep"....they immediately go to be with Jesus.

I was raised in a Roman Catholic household, going to a parochial grade school. So, are you saying that there are only 144,000 righteous JWs? What happens to the unrighteous JWs? So, when Yeshua was talking about a "new heaven and earth", the old one will remain? And what you are saying is that if you die today, and are buried on Friday, and if I dig up your grave, you won't be asleep/dead in your coffin? What happened to the pre 1918 JWs that slept/died? If creation, the earth had a beginning, what makes you think it won't have an end? What happens after the great white thrown judgment, when there is no longer any death? How are you going to compost your garbage to fertilize your garden? Will you even eat in your new world?

It also begs the question as to how all of these humans will avoid deadly accidents eternally.

The question is, do they have children to replace the dead, and if the children don't die, as depicted in Isaiah 65:20, which depicts the righteous dying after the age of 100, where is all the space and resources coming for to feed 1000 years of non-interrupted population increase?

I am shocked that you do not understand the two possible "deaths" detailed in the scriptures.

And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

For as in Adam all die, . . .

And it is appointed unto men once to die, . . .

So the Bible states that all will die and some will never die???

Believest thou these three verses??
