The Pure in Heart
Post #1What about those JW’s who believe they will spend eternity on planet earth? They’ll never get to see YHWH for His dwelling place always has and always will be in heaven. That’s very sad!

Post #2Satan the Devil has lived in heaven and has literally seen the face of God but does that mean he is blessed?MissKate13 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 28, 2022 10:44 am ...They’ll never get to see YHWH for His dwelling place always has and always will be in heaven. That’s very sad!
The only thing sadder than someone that identifies as a Christian but only sees things in a fleshly carnal way and so cannot conceive of "seeing" in a spiritual sense is someone that claims to be Christian yet argues the promises of Christ are not quite good enough ...
One can see God with ones heart if your heart is pure... is that sad?

Re: The Pure in Heart
Post #4I'm not sad at all. I have no need to look at Jehovah in the throne in Heaven. This beautiful Earth that He has provided for mankind is enough for me to see His glory. Besides there have been humans such as Jeremiah and Ezekiel that have seen God on his throne in dreams and once was good enough for them. They didn't need an eternity to appreciate God on His throne.
What I find sad is that people think of God's gift of the Earth as an inferior gift and would give it up for something that false religion has dreamed up. A person is told they will see God...ok, then what?

I am very sorry for you.
Care to explain how this new physical earth is going to exist without the oceans which are said to be no more (Revelation 21:1)?

Post #7Revelation is a book written in symbolic language, there is no reason to take the word "sea/oceans" LITERALLY. (See comment below)MissKate13 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 29, 2022 4:04 pm [Replying to JehovahsWitness in post #2]

MissKate13 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 11:12 amWords on a page can be symbols all on their own, or they can be combined to create symbolism. For example, if I write “Green” you think color. If I write she was green with envy, you understand me to be writing about jealousy. Can we agree that symbolism is used in the book of Revelation?
What is symbolized by the sea that will be no more in Revelation 21?

Re: The Pure in Heart
Post #8This actually couldn't be further than the truth. JW, myself and most Jehovah's Witnesses speak to people of all cultures, faiths and races all over the world daily. Who can say they do that? We go to people's houses, meet them in the street, at work, anywhere and everywhere. Who comes close to doing that?MissKate13 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 29, 2022 4:14 pm [Replying to JehovahsWitness in post #3]
Your experiences must be very narrow.
Thus the has made our experiences vast. JW is correct, when it comes to knowledge of the Bible I have yet met a person that matches the knowledge of Jehovah's Witnesses and the Bible. In fact look at many of the threads on this forum and you'll see that it is not Witnesses that want to toss the Bible out the window because it doesn't jive with their beliefs. Most of the children in our religion has more knowledge about the Bible than of most adults I meet.
Jehovah's Witnesses have also discovered the key to the Bible that almost all others ignore or will not accept. Scripture unlocks prophecy in scripture. Which means God's Word unlocks God's Word. Not a man or even a whole religion. Just as JW has done in post 7 explaining what the sea is in Revelation. How did they do it? JW used the Bible to explain the Bible. This is THE correct way to understand the Bible.

I guess you've never heard of that tiny backwater church with the initials "L.D.S.".......JW, myself and most Jehovah's Witnesses speak to people of all cultures, faiths and races all over the world daily. Re: The Pure in Heart
Post #10They are mostly concentrated in the US. They are 160 countries, JWs are in 239. They also don't preach like we do. When we come to a person's home, normally we are the ones that study with that person all the way to baptism. The LDS pass the person off to someone else. JWs also live in the neighborhoods that we preach in. In LDS the door to door work is by young males and most of the time they don't live in the area they preach in. As a JW everyone preaches. From the youngest to the oldest and both male and female. Folks that opt in for LDS door to door work, do that for only 2 years. There are JW members that have done the door to door work for more than 60 years. LDS are paid JW are not. Here is the big one, the LDS have the book of Mormon and know more about that then the Bible.Athetotheist wrote: ↑Sun Jan 01, 2023 2:41 pm [Replying to 2timothy316 in post #8

So the statement by JW, "In my experience people generally .... think very carefully before attempting to argue scripture with one of Jehovahs Witnesses" still holds true.
Now how do I know this? Because I have talked with LDS members.
